Hyderabad, April 7, 2025 – Telangana is experiencing a severe heatwave, with nineteen of its thirty-three districts recording temperatures exceeding 40°C on Sunday. Mancherial district was the hottest, reaching 40.7°C. While Hyderabad and Medchal Malkajgiri districts saw slightly lower temperatures at 39.6°C, the intense heat continues across much of the state.
In a contrasting development, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm warning for nine districts on Tuesday, April 8th. These districts include Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, and Hanamkonda. The warning anticipates thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds.
