Sat Apr 05 19:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Ram Navami Rituals Promise Protection and Fulfillment, Say Devotees

**Ayodhya, India** – Devotees are gearing up for Ram Navami, celebrating the birth of Lord Rama, with various rituals believed to bring blessings and ward off misfortune. According to tradition, reciting the Ram Raksha Stotra eleven times on this auspicious day is said to eliminate problems, vanquish enemies, remove obstacles, and ensure success. The recitation is believed to create a protective shield around the devotee, ensuring divine protection.

Further enhancing the spiritual significance of the day, chanting the Bal Kand of Ramcharitmanas is recommended. This section details Lord Rama’s childhood, from birth to marriage, and is believed to offer relief from suffering and planetary afflictions. An all-night vigil (Jagaran) with repeated recitations of the Vishnu Sahasranama is also encouraged. As Lord Rama is an incarnation of Vishnu, this practice is believed to remove sins, alleviate fears, pacify planetary maleficences, and bring happiness and prosperity.

Other recommended rituals include a Havan (fire ritual) with offerings of kheer, honey, and malpua, accompanied by chanting of Lord Rama’s name and the Dashavatar Stotra. This stotra, which describes the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, is also believed to offer protection from adversity.

Finally, a unique ritual involves writing the name of Rama on 108 Tulsi (holy basil) leaves, stringing them into a garland, and offering it to a temple deity. This is believed to fulfill wishes and mitigate the negative effects of Saturn and Rahu. Devotees are enthusiastically preparing to perform these rituals to celebrate Ram Navami and seek divine blessings.
