CHICAGO – McDonald’s is partnering with Minecraft to celebrate the upcoming release of “A Minecraft Movie,” offering themed meals starting April 1st. The promotion features two meal options: one for adults and a Happy Meal for kids, both including collectible toys and digital content.
Adult meals feature a choice of a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets with fries, a drink, and a collectible toy. The McNuggets option also includes a limited-edition Nether Flame Sauce, described as spicy and sweet. Customers can collect one of six exclusive Minecraft-themed collectibles featuring McDonald’s characters and items or one of twelve film-inspired figurines. Each collectible includes a code to unlock an exclusive digital costume in the Minecraft Marketplace.
Happy Meals offer a choice of a Hamburger or Chicken McNuggets, alongside fries, apple slices, a drink, and one of twelve “Minecraft Movie” figurines. These meals also include a code that unlocks an exclusive digital game on happymeal.com.
Purchasing any “Minecraft Movie” meal via the McDonald’s app provides an additional in-game bonus: a one-time redeemable code for the McDonald’s Add-On pack in Minecraft, including McDonaldland characters, builds, and tools. The promotion runs nationwide, offering a fun tie-in for fans before the movie’s theatrical release on April 4th.
