Sat Apr 05 00:40:00 UTC 2025: **Seven-Foot-Tall Conductor’s Height Poses Challenges in Telangana RTC**
Hyderabad, Telangana – Ameen Ahmad Ansari, a conductor with the Telangana Road Transport Corporation (RTC), is facing difficulties performing his duties due to his exceptional height of 195 cm (6 feet 4 inches). Ansari, a resident of Chandrayangutta, Shaheen Nagar, secured his job under compassionate appointment following his father’s death in 2021. His father served as a Head Constable at the Kachiguda depot.
His height presents a significant challenge while working on buses, forcing him to spend hours with his head bent, causing neck and back pain, and leading to sleeplessness. He reportedly works 10-hour shifts, averaging five trips daily. The cramped space within the RTC buses makes his job physically demanding.
Passengers have appealed to senior RTC officials to consider reassigning Ansari to a more suitable role within the corporation to alleviate his physical strain. The situation highlights the need for more inclusive workplace accommodations for employees with unique physical characteristics.
