**HYDERABAD, April 5, 2025** – A 19-member Australian delegation focused on future skills arrived in Hyderabad on Friday to explore collaborations with Indian institutions. The delegation, representing 13 Australian institutes specializing in technology, green economy, and infrastructure, is part of a larger initiative to foster stronger ties between the two countries’ skill development sectors.

The visit, organized by the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), aims to build mutual understanding and partnerships between Australian and Indian universities, corporations, and training providers. The trip began in New Delhi on April 1st with the launch of The Australia India Skills Summit 2025 and will also include a stop in Ahmedabad.

Austrade Trade and Investment Commissioner Vik Singh highlighted Australia’s globally recognized vocational education system, emphasizing its industry-driven design. The delegation’s visit facilitates the exchange of expertise, best practices, and innovative solutions in skills development between the two nations. Australia’s diverse skills training sector includes TAFE institutes, universities, private training providers, edtech platforms, and enterprise training providers, according to Austrade.
