Several Kolkata residents shared their experiences, highlighting the allure of the Valley. Ritika Kanjilal, a chief security officer at Bagdogra airport, described Kashmir as “a dream wrapped in layers of snow, mist, and history,” overcoming initial hesitations fueled by media portrayals of conflict. She emphasized that the reality was a welcoming and culturally vibrant experience.
