Sat Apr 05 04:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan Declare Multiple Holidays in April

**Lucknow, India** – Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan residents are in for a long holiday break in April, with multiple holidays declared across both states. Government offices and schools in Uttar Pradesh will be closed on April 18th, in addition to the previously announced closure on April 6th for Ram Navami (although this falls on a Sunday). Banks will also observe holidays on April 10th (Mahavir Jayanti), April 14th (Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Jayanti), and April 18th (Good Friday). A restricted holiday has also been declared in Unnao district on April 5th to celebrate the birth anniversaries of Maharishi Kashyap and Maharaj Nishad Raj.

Rajasthan will experience five consecutive holidays in April, although specific dates weren’t provided in the release. The extended holiday periods across both states mean a significant portion of April will see government offices closed, urging residents to complete their work ahead of time. With approximately 13 days off in April for many Uttar Pradesh government employees, the extended break provides an opportunity for relaxation and family time.
