Sat Apr 05 10:19:13 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Police Bust Drug Ring, Arrest Two Men with ₹3.75 Lakh Worth of Narcotics

**Hyderabad, Telangana, April 5, 2025** – Two men, Tejas Katta (29, an American citizen) and Sohail Ahmed (29), were arrested on Saturday by the Telangana State Task Force (STF) for allegedly trafficking narcotics. The arrests took place in Hyderabad’s Sun City area following a tip-off.

The STF seized a significant quantity of drugs, including 21 grams of OG Kush, 32.5 grams of hashish, and 56 grams of LSD, along with ₹1 lakh in cash and a car used in the operation. The total value of the seized narcotics is estimated at ₹2.75 lakh.

Investigations revealed that Katta, who returned to India after living in the US, allegedly became involved in drug dealing after developing an addiction during a two-year stint in Mumbai. He and Ahmed reportedly made bi-weekly trips to Mumbai to procure drugs, which they then sold in and around the Sun City area of Hyderabad.

The seized items have been handed over to Shamshabad Excise officials, and investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the drug network operating in both Hyderabad and Mumbai.
