**Thanjavur, April 5, 2025** – The Thanjavur District Cooperative Milk Producers Union Limited (TDCMPU), which markets its products under the Aavin brand, has significantly expanded its milk procurement network. Twenty new milk producers’ cooperative societies have been established in Thiruvonam Block, Thanjavur district.
This expansion brings the total number of societies under TDCMPU to over 350, covering Thanjavur, Nagapattinam, Tiruvarur, and Mayiladuthurai districts. The new societies, inaugurated on April 5th, received ₹87,000 each in funding from TDCMPU to facilitate their establishment and operations. The newly formed cooperatives are located in various villages within Thiruvonam Block. This initiative is part of the Tamil Nadu Cooperative Milk Producers Federation Limited (TNCMPFL) efforts under the state’s Milk and Dairy Development Department.
