Fri Apr 04 07:06:40 UTC 2025: ## Hyderabad Chef Delights Diners with Japanese-Inspired Pop-Up

**Hyderabad, April 4, 2025** – Chef Vikramjit Roy is captivating Hyderabad’s culinary scene with his Ryoko Classic pop-up dinner at Rika, Park Hyatt Banjara Hills. The menu, running until April 6th, showcases a unique fusion of Japanese techniques, Asian ingredients, and subtle Indian influences.

Roy’s journey from salaried professional to entrepreneur is reflected in his ambitious and flavourful creations. The menu avoids grains, focusing instead on protein-rich dishes that pack a punch despite their seemingly small portions. Standout dishes include Hokkaido-style milk bread with caramelized onions and chicken pâté, tacos with braised peanuts and banana flower salad, and a creamy sesame-dressed chicken and cucumber dish (with a vegetarian avocado alternative). The chef’s skillful use of miso, sesame, and house-made soy elevates the dishes, allowing diners to experience the purest forms of Asian umami. A delicate scallop carpaccio with uni emulsion is a particular highlight for seafood lovers.

Sourcing ingredients for this ambitious menu proved challenging, according to Roy, but the quality shines through in every dish. The pop-up offers a unique dining experience, emphasizing precise techniques and bold flavour combinations that seamlessly blend cultures. Reservations for tables of two begin at ₹2,000.
