**Chandigarh, [Date]** – The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) today released the results for its Class 8 examinations, revealing a 97.30% overall pass rate. While a significant majority of students passed, this represents a slight decrease from last year’s 98.31% success rate.
Two students achieved perfect scores: Puneet Verma from Hoshiarpur secured first rank with 600/600, while Navjot Kaur from Faridkot earned second place due to age-based ranking criteria. Girls once again outperformed boys, achieving a 98.9% pass rate compared to the boys’ 96.49%.
Amritsar district topped the state with a 98.85% pass percentage, followed by Pathankot and Gurdaspur. Students can access their results online at pseb.ac.in. Physical mark sheets will be distributed by schools in the coming weeks. Students dissatisfied with their grades can apply for re-evaluation.
