Wed Apr 02 10:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Marylanders Brace for Strong Storms This Evening

**Baltimore, MD** – Maryland residents are urged to prepare for the potential of strong to severe thunderstorms this evening, according to a weather alert issued this morning. The National Weather Service predicts the best chance of rain and thunderstorms will be from late afternoon through the evening, after 5 p.m. in the Baltimore area.

While Monday will start partly cloudy with highs near 80 degrees, the afternoon will bring a significant weather shift. Some storms could become severe, posing a risk of damaging winds and large hail.

Following the storm front, a noticeable temperature drop is expected. Tuesday and Wednesday will see highs in the upper 50s and low 60s, with breezy conditions. Temperatures will rebound quickly, however, reaching the upper 70s to near 80 degrees by Thursday and Friday. The forecast suggests a return to unsettled weather by the weekend, with increased rain chances and cooler temperatures. Residents are advised to monitor weather updates throughout the day.
