**Kathmandu, Nepal – April 2, 2025** – India has committed Nepalese Rupees 625 million (approximately $4.7 million USD) to fund ten high-impact community development projects in Nepal, focusing on education, health, and culture. The agreements were signed on April 1st, according to a press release from the Indian embassy in Kathmandu.
The projects, part of the Nepal-India Development Cooperation initiative, include the construction of three schools, a monastery, a school e-library, and two health posts. This brings the total number of high-impact community development projects undertaken by India in Nepal since 2003 to over 573, with 495 already completed.
The Indian embassy emphasized that these projects reflect the government’s ongoing commitment to supporting Nepal’s growth and development by improving infrastructure in key sectors. The initiative aims to enhance educational, healthcare, and cultural facilities for the Nepali people.
