**Bengaluru, April 1, 2025** – Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a leading Indian defence public sector undertaking (PSU), announced a significant 16% increase in its turnover for the fiscal year 2024-25. The provisional and unaudited figures reveal a turnover of approximately ₹23,000 crore, up from ₹19,820 crore the previous year. This growth is complemented by a 14% rise in export sales, reaching approximately $106 million.
The company secured orders worth ₹18,715 crore during FY 2024-25, including contracts for projects such as BMP II Upgrade, Ashwini Radar, and various other defence and non-defence initiatives. This brings BEL’s total order book to approximately ₹71,650 crore as of April 1, 2025, which includes an export order book of $359 million.
BEL Chairman and Managing Director Manoj Jain attributed the success to a focus on self-reliance through indigenization, expansion, modernization, and collaborations with Indian industries, including MSMEs and startups. He also highlighted strategies aimed at expanding BEL’s global presence. The company expects these efforts to maintain its market leadership in the strategic electronics sector.
