**Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh:** In a recent operation, Excise police in Tirumala seized three bottles of liquor and arrested a vendor, Ramesh, for illegally selling alcohol at the sacred Tirumala Hills. The arrest took place on Saturday, March 29th, during a routine check in Balaji Nagar.
Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara, is considered a holy site where the sale of alcohol and meat is strictly prohibited. Despite this, attempts to smuggle prohibited items onto the hill continue. Police officials stated that Ramesh was caught selling alcohol and is now facing charges. Authorities have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on such activities and warned of strict action against anyone found violating the ban.
