Patna, Bihar – The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) announced the results for the Class 10 (Matric) annual examination today, March 29th, 2025, at 12 PM. A total of 12.79 lakh students passed, representing an overall pass percentage of 82.11%. This year’s results mark a slight decrease from the 82.91% pass rate achieved in 2024.
The announcement was made by Bihar’s Education Minister, Sunil Kumar, in the presence of the state’s Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, S. Siddharth, and BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore. The results are available on the official websites matricresult2025.com and matricbiharboard.com, as well as on NDTV’s results portal.
This year’s examination, held between February 17th and 25th, saw 15.85 lakh students participate across 1,677 examination centers. The evaluation of over 94 lakh answer sheets and OMR sheets took a record 29 days.
Remarkably, three students shared the top spot this year, each scoring 489 out of 500 (97.80%). The toppers are Sakshi Kumari from Samastipur High School, Anshu Kumari from Bhartiya Inter College, Gahiri, and Ranjan Kumar from High School, Agiyawan, Bhojpur. A total of 123 students made it into the top ten merit list, with 60 girls and 63 boys. The board also announced increased prize money for toppers, with the first-rank holders receiving ₹200,000, second-rank holders ₹150,000, and third-rank holders ₹100,000.
Students can access their results by entering their roll number and roll code on the official websites or the NDTV results portal. The board has emphasized using alternative links if the websites experience high traffic.
