**Hyderabad, March 27, 2025** – The Telangana government launched the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam scheme, offering financial assistance of up to ₹4 lakh to young adults from marginalized communities. The scheme aims to empower youth from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Backward Classes (BC), Minorities, and Economically Backward Classes/Economically Weaker Sections (EBC/EWS).
Guidelines released on March 25th detail the scheme’s structure. Beneficiaries can choose any financially viable activity, receiving subsidies ranging from 70% to 100% depending on the project cost. For projects costing up to ₹50,000 or minor irrigation projects, a 100% subsidy is available. Subsidies decrease incrementally for higher project costs, with a maximum loan of 30% required for projects between ₹2,00,001 and ₹4,00,000.
Eligibility criteria include an age limit of 21-55 years for non-agricultural projects and 21-60 years for agricultural projects, along with income limits of ₹1,50,000 per annum for rural applicants and ₹2,00,000 for urban applicants. Applicants must register online via the Online Beneficiary Management & Monitoring System (OBMMS) portal by April 5th.
The selection process involves document verification at the Mandal Level Screening Committee and final approval by the District Level Committee and the district collector.
