Wed Mar 26 17:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Avengers Assemble for “Doomsday”: Star-Studded Cast Unveiled

**Los Angeles, CA** – Marvel Studios announced a powerhouse cast for its upcoming blockbuster, “Avengers: Doomsday,” in a livestream event today. The film, directed by the Russo brothers, reunites many familiar faces alongside exciting newcomers, setting the stage for an epic showdown slated for May 1, 2026.

Returning Avengers include Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Anthony Mackie (Captain America), Danny Ramirez (Falcon), Sebastian Stan (Winter Soldier), Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), and Winston Duke (M’Baku). The cast also features several key players from recent Marvel films, including Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Wyatt Russell (U.S. Agent), Hannah John-Kamen (Ghost), Lewis Pullman (Bob), and Simu Liu (Shang-Chi).

Adding to the excitement, Marvel introduced several characters from the Fantastic Four franchise: Vanessa Kirby (Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn (Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Thing). Furthermore, the surprise inclusion of several X-Men actors sent fans into a frenzy. Patrick Stewart (Professor X), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Kelsey Grammer (Beast), and Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler) are all set to reprise their iconic roles, despite some characters’ previous on-screen deaths. Tenoch Huerta Mejía, who played Namor in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” also joins the ensemble cast.

The film marks a return for Robert Downey Jr. as the villainous Doctor Doom, a role he revealed last year at San Diego Comic-Con. “Avengers: Doomsday” follows six years after “Endgame,” with the absence of Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow. The film is poised to bridge the MCU’s past and future, bringing together beloved characters and introducing new ones to the ever-expanding universe.

“Avengers: Doomsday” is set to hit theaters on May 1, 2026, following the releases of “Thunderbolts” (May 2, 2025) and “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” (July 25, 2025).
