**Hurghada, Egypt** – A tourist submarine sank off the coast of Hurghada on Egypt’s Red Sea, resulting in the deaths of six foreign tourists and injuries to 19 others, state media reported Thursday. The incident occurred near the popular resort town, a major hub for Egypt’s tourism industry.
According to Akhbar Al-Youm newspaper, the vessel, owned by Sindbad Submarines, was the only recreational submarine operating in the area. Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident. The injured passengers were transported to local hospitals along with the bodies of the deceased.
