This will be the 21st edition of the national-level exam, determining eligibility for teaching positions in primary (classes 1-5) and elementary (classes 6-8) schools across India.
While the date is tentative, the CBSE will officially confirm the exam date and release the application notification in April 2025 via its website, https://ctet.nic.in/. The exam will be conducted offline in two shifts: 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
The CTET comprises two papers. Paper I is for aspiring primary teachers, while Paper II is for those seeking elementary teaching positions.
