Tue Mar 25 03:50:21 UTC 2025: ## Acer India Launches “Matrika,” a Paid Menstrual Leave Policy

**New Delhi, March 25, 2025** – Acer India has announced a new paid menstrual leave policy, named “Matrika,” offering female employees one additional day of paid leave per month. This initiative follows a similar move by Larsen & Toubro earlier this month, marking a growing trend among Indian companies to prioritize women’s health and well-being in the workplace.

The policy, according to Acer India President and Managing Director Harish Kohli, aims to normalize conversations surrounding women’s health and create a more inclusive and supportive work environment. The company highlights that “Matrika” sets Acer apart as a forward-thinking employer committed to gender equality and employee-centric initiatives.

This move comes as several other companies, including Swiggy and Zomato, have already implemented similar policies. Furthermore, four Indian states – Bihar, Odisha, Sikkim, and Kerala – have already incorporated menstrual leave provisions for their employees. The addition of Acer India to this growing list reflects a broader societal shift towards recognizing and supporting women’s reproductive health needs.
