Mon Mar 24 07:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Tech Entrepreneur Claims Police Harassment Amid Bitter Divorce Battle

**Chennai, India –** Prasanna Sankar, a Singapore-based tech entrepreneur and founder of crypto social network 0xPPL.com, has publicly accused the Chennai Police of harassment in a high-profile custody and divorce battle with his estranged wife, Divya. Sankar’s allegations, posted on X (formerly Twitter) and viewed over 8.6 million times, have sparked a heated public dispute with both parties leveling serious accusations against each other.

Sankar claims the ordeal began after he discovered his wife’s alleged infidelity, leading to a contentious divorce settlement and a subsequent false domestic violence complaint filed by his wife. He further alleges his wife “abducted” their nine-year-old son to the U.S., prompting an international child abduction case which resulted in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) awarding him joint custody. However, disagreements over the MoU, particularly concerning their son’s passport, escalated the conflict.

Sankar alleges that after insisting on court intervention, police raided his hotel and he fled fearing wrongful arrest. He claims police subsequently harassed his family and friends, illegally tracked his movements, and even detained a friend in Bengaluru without a warrant. He further alleges the seizure of a caretaker’s phone and the pressure put on his friends to discredit his claims. Sankar anticipates a joint press conference by his wife and police to further accuse him and intends to file a legal petition.

Divya, however, vehemently denies Sankar’s accusations. She alleges he lured her to India under false pretenses, forcibly took their son with the help of a man named Gokula Krishnan, and transferred matrimonial assets to evade taxes. She also accuses Sankar of threatening her into signing documents preventing her from reporting tax crimes and alleges he is a sexual predator, citing a past arrest in Singapore. Divya claims she sought the Chennai Police’s help in retrieving her son.

The Chennai Police have yet to officially comment on the allegations from either party. This developing story involves accusations of police misconduct, international child abduction, and financial wrongdoing, leaving the public awaiting further clarification and potential legal action.
