Bengaluru, March 24, 2025 – Ramaiah Medical College’s Department of Anatomy held its annual “Abhinandana” felicitation program on March 22nd, expressing gratitude to 382 registered body donors and their families. The event, which has been held annually since 2010, recognizes the crucial role these individuals play in advancing medical education and research.

The program featured several presentations on health and well-being, including lectures on eye care for seniors by Dr. Anand Bhandary, cancer prevention and early detection by Dr. Lithika Lavanya M., the importance of balanced lifestyles by Ramesh Debur, and the nutritional benefits of millets by Nagarekha Palli. Dr. Shalini C. Nooyi, Principal and Dean of Ramaiah Medical College, emphasized the importance of healthy aging and lifelong learning.

One octogenarian donor expressed his happiness at participating in the event, thanking Ramaiah Hospital for raising awareness about body donation.
