**New Delhi, March 28, 2024** – The Indian Navy has announced the recruitment of Agniveers for Sailor Recruit (SSR) and Matric Recruit (MR) positions for the 2025 and 2026 batches. Applications for the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET) 2025 will open on March 29th and close on April 10th. The Stage I examination (INET) is scheduled for May 2025.
The recruitment drive is open to both male and female candidates, who must be unmarried. Eligibility requirements vary depending on the position and batch. For SSR, candidates need a 10+2 (Class 12) pass with at least 50% marks in Mathematics and Physics. For MR, a Class 10 pass is sufficient. Students awaiting their Class 10 or 12 results can also apply.
Age limits differ based on the batch: 02/2025 (September 1, 2004 – February 29, 2008); 01/2026 (February 1, 2005 – July 31, 2008); and 02/2026 (July 1, 2005 – December 31, 2008).
The application fee is Rs 550 for all candidates. Selection involves a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), with different requirements for male and female candidates. Males must complete a 1.6 km run in 6 minutes 30 seconds, along with 20 squats, 15 push-ups, and 15 sit-ups. Females must complete the run in 8 minutes, with 15 squats, 10 push-ups, and 10 sit-ups.
