Sun Mar 23 10:39:35 UTC 2025: ## New Zealand Crushes Pakistan by 115 Runs, Wins T20 Series

**Mount Maunganui, New Zealand –** New Zealand secured a commanding 3-1 victory in their five-match T20 series against Pakistan, demolishing the tourists by a record 115 runs in the fourth match at Bay Oval. The win marks Pakistan’s largest ever T20 defeat by runs, surpassing their previous record loss to New Zealand nine years ago.

New Zealand set a challenging 220-6, fueled by Finn Allen’s explosive 50 off 20 balls and Tim Seifert’s quick-fire 44. Michael Bracewell also contributed a crucial 46 not out. Pakistan’s bowlers, despite Haris Rauf’s 3-27, struggled to contain the New Zealand batsmen.

The Kiwi pace attack then wreaked havoc, dismantling Pakistan’s batting line-up for a paltry 105 in just 17 overs. Jacob Duffy starred with figures of 4-20, while Zak Foulkes chipped in with 3-25. Pakistan’s top order crumbled early, reduced to 9-3 after only two overs, with Duffy dismissing Hasan Nawaz for just one run. Only Abdul Samad (44 not out) and Irfan Khan (24) managed double figures, highlighting the overall batting collapse.

Pakistan captain Ali Agha acknowledged New Zealand’s superior performance, citing the challenging conditions under lights that aided the swing and turn of the ball. He emphasized the need for improvement from his team ahead of the final match.

The final T20I of the series will be played in Wellington on Wednesday.
