**New York, NY** – Actor Isaiah Stokes, known for his roles in shows like *Law & Order: Special Victims Unit* and *Boardwalk Empire*, has been sentenced to 25 years to life in prison for the premeditated murder of Tyrone Jones. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz announced the sentencing on Friday, March 21st.

Stokes, 45, was found guilty earlier this month of second-degree murder and two counts of criminal possession of a weapon. The conviction stems from the February 7, 2021, shooting death of 37-year-old Jones. Prosecutors presented evidence that Stokes sought revenge against Jones following an altercation at a Queens club in October 2020, where Jones had asked Stokes to leave after inappropriate behavior towards female guests.

According to the DA’s office, Stokes tracked Jones using a GPS tracker placed on his car. On the day of the murder, Stokes followed Jones, and after waiting for approximately 15 minutes, fired eleven shots into Jones’ car, striking him multiple times in the head and chest. Jones died at the scene. Stokes then returned the rental SUV used in the crime.

The two-week trial concluded on March 7th, with the jury finding Stokes guilty. DA Katz described the shooting as a “calculated murder” driven by a desire for revenge. Stokes’ acting career spanned several years, with appearances in various television shows. He also worked as a musician under the name I$AIAH.
