Sun Mar 23 11:20:00 UTC 2025: ## Star All-Rounder Nitish Reddy Fit and Ready for IPL 2025
**Hyderabad, India –** Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) received a major boost ahead of the upcoming IPL 2025 season with the return of star all-rounder Nitish Reddy. Reddy, who had been sidelined with a side strain, successfully completed a fitness test, scoring an impressive 18 on the Yo-Yo test, according to an ESPNcricinfo press release.
The 25-year-old’s recovery comes as welcome news for SRH, who suffered a disappointing defeat in the IPL 2024 final against Kolkata Knight Riders. Reddy’s presence adds significant batting depth and bowling options to the squad, bolstering their chances of winning the title in the upcoming season, which begins March 22nd.
Reddy, who was retained by SRH in the mega-auction 2025, had an outstanding 2024 season, scoring 303 runs at a strike rate of 142.2 and taking three wickets in 13 matches. He is expected to join the team’s pre-tournament camp this Sunday. His recovery took longer than initially anticipated, exceeding the projected three-week rehabilitation period. He even played a practice match on Friday without experiencing any discomfort.
Notably, Reddy’s impressive performances extend beyond the IPL. He made his India T20I debut against Bangladesh and achieved the remarkable feat of scoring a century while batting at number eight for India in Australia during the 2024 Border Gavaskar Trophy. Although his IPL 2023 debut was less impactful, his 2024 season solidified his status as a key player for SRH. The team will be relying on his skills as they aim for a strong start in IPL 2025.
