**Madurai, March 24, 2025** – Justice Vivek Kumar Singh of the Madras High Court attended a jallikattu event in Keelakarai near Alanganallur on Sunday, along with his family. The judge, transferred from the Allahabad High Court in 2023, expressed keen interest in the traditional bull-taming sport. He was warmly received by organizers, and a bull was even released in the name of his wife, Nupur Kapoor.

Over 700 bulls and 400 bull tamers participated in the event, which saw winners receiving prizes ranging from household appliances to electronics. The event, held at the Kalaignar Centenary Aeruthazhuvuthal arena, was a significant display of the popular Tamil Nadu sport.
