Mumbai, March 23, 2025 – Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced a major infrastructure boost on Saturday, revealing the successful completion of Phase 1 of the Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) road project. This ₹41,730 crore initiative will upgrade 6,000 kilometers of roads across the state.
The project, which secured ₹25,875 crore in financing from various banks including HUDCO, IIFCL, Canara Bank, and others, is exceeding expectations, completing 5% more work than initially projected within a record timeframe under the state’s 100-day program.
Fadnavis, in a post on X, emphasized the project’s significance in strengthening Maharashtra’s connectivity. He also announced that an additional ₹1 lakh crore worth of infrastructure projects are slated for completion this year. This follows a review meeting of the Maharashtra State Infrastructure Development Corporation (MSIDC) where the Chief Minister stressed the importance of prioritizing road development only where necessary to ensure efficient resource allocation and high-quality work.
