TAMPA, FL (March 20, 2025) – The University of South Florida (USF) track and field program will host its annual Alumni Invitational this weekend, March 21-22, at the USF Track and Field Stadium. The two-day event kicks off Friday at 10 a.m. ET and continues Saturday at 11 a.m. ET. The meet will be streamed live on ESPN+.
The event promises exciting competition, featuring a roster of USF Bulls athletes across various events, including the pole vault, hammer throw, long jump, shot put, hurdles, javelin, 800-meter and 5,000-meter runs, and 200-meter dash. A full schedule of events is available online.
Beyond the competition, the invitational offers a reunion for USF track and field alumni. A dedicated alumni tent will provide refreshments and complimentary T-shirts (while supplies last). A special alumni recognition ceremony will be held at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday to honor past contributors, alongside a celebration for graduating senior student-athletes.
Fans can enjoy food trucks, with Fully Loaded Food on Friday and KC’s Quesadillas on Saturday, and the USF mascot, Rocky, will be in attendance.
Director of Track and Field and Cross-Country Erik Jenkins expressed his enthusiasm for the event, highlighting the opportunity to celebrate alumni, graduating seniors, and showcase the team’s achievements, including back-to-back American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships (2024 and 2025) and the 2024 AAC Outdoor Championship. The team’s recent successes include multiple All-America honors and individual accolades such as the 2025 Indoor Most Valuable Performer award.
