Sat Mar 22 00:00:00 UTC 2025: ## Broncos Wide Receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey Signs with Giants

**New York, NY –** Former Denver Broncos wide receiver Lil’Jordan Humphrey has signed a one-year contract with the New York Giants, marking the end of his two-season tenure in Denver. The move, announced Friday, sparked a flurry of reactions on social media, with some fans expressing surprise and others analyzing the strategic implications for both teams.

Humphrey, while a consistent presence in the Broncos’ lineup over the past two seasons playing in all 34 games, saw his playing time decrease towards the end of the 2024 season. He received only three targets in the final five games as the Broncos focused on younger receivers. Although Broncos head coach Sean Payton was reportedly a fan of Humphrey, the Giants’ offer presented a more promising future opportunity for the player, according to his agent, Jimmy Gould. The Broncos did make Humphrey an offer to return for a third season.

The signing adds another dimension to the Giants’ receiving corps, while the Broncos are left with Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims, Devaughn Vele, Troy Franklin, and Trent Sherfield as their top five wide receivers heading into the 2025 season. Analysts noted that Humphrey’s role in Denver, often described as a “dirty-work” receiver excelling in run blocking and yards after catch, might have been redundant given the team’s other receiving options. The move, therefore, is seen by some as a logical roster adjustment for both teams. The reaction on social media ranged from surprise (“Who the hell is Lil’Jordan Humphrey?”) to excited anticipation for his contributions to the Giants.
