**Chennai, March 22, 2025** – The Trinamool Congress (TMC) will not be attending a meeting on delimitation called by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in Chennai today. A party source cited the pressing issue of duplicate voter ID cards as the reason for their absence. The TMC believes this issue could significantly impact upcoming assembly elections in Bihar, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. While Bihar’s elections are scheduled for later this year, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal will hold elections in 2026. The meeting, initiated by the DMK, was intended to bring together seven states – Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, West Bengal, and Punjab – to discuss delimitation concerns.
