**Visakhapatnam, March 21, 2025** – Despite intense heat across Andhra Pradesh, the Cyclone Warning Centre in Visakhapatnam has predicted moderate rainfall across the state this Saturday, March 22nd. The rains are expected to provide temporary relief from the scorching temperatures and strong winds.

The center forecasts light to moderate rain or thundershowers in several areas of both coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema. Coastal regions may also experience winds gusting at 40-50 kilometers per hour. However, the respite will be short-lived, with temperatures expected to rise again after three days.

This change in weather is attributed to a weakening trough extending from Odisha to South Vidarbha via South Chhattisgarh. This trough is causing southwesterly winds to sweep across the state.

While the rain is welcomed, there is some concern that the subsequent increase in temperatures could be even more intense. Telangana is also expected to experience rainfall from March 21st to 23rd, according to the weather department. Authorities advise residents to remain vigilant.
