Fri Mar 21 22:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Blue Jackets, Penguins Announce Lineups, Deal with Injuries Ahead of Matchup

**Columbus, OH –** The Columbus Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Penguins revealed their lineups for tonight’s game, with both teams grappling with significant injury absences. The Blue Jackets will be without several key players, including Cole Sillinger (upper body), Erik Gudbranson (upper body), Sean Monahan (wrist), Jake Christensen (upper body), and Daniil Tarasov (illness). Goaltender Daniil Tarasov’s absence necessitated the emergency recall of goaltender David Greaves from the AHL’s Cleveland Monsters. The team also announced that Jordan Harris and Christian Fischer will be scratched.

Meanwhile, the Penguins will be missing P.O. Joseph (upper body), Tommy Novak (lower body), Ryan Shea (upper body), and Emil Bemstrom (undisclosed). Forward Matt Nieto was reassigned to the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. Interestingly, Penguins defenseman Kris Letang switched to the left side of the top defensive pair during practice.

Both teams have shuffled their lines to account for the injuries and roster moves. The Blue Jackets’ starting lineup features Kent Johnson centering Adam Fantilli and Kirill Marchenko, while the Penguins will see Sidney Crosby centering Rickard Rakell and Bryan Rust.

The game is set to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
