**Chennai, March 22, 2025** – The Chennai Meteorological Centre has forecast heavy rainfall in several districts of Tamil Nadu due to a low-level atmospheric circulation. Ten districts – Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tenkasi, and Kanyakumari – are expected to experience heavy showers in one or two locations today and tomorrow, March 23rd, 2025.
Temperatures are expected to be 4 degrees Celsius above normal today, potentially causing discomfort in some areas. While Chennai and its suburbs will see partly cloudy skies for the next 48 hours with a possibility of light to moderate rain in some areas during evenings and nights, daytime temperatures in Chennai are predicted to reach 35 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast predicts moderate rainfall for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal until March 25th.
