**Bhopal, March 21:** Madhya Pradesh experienced a mixed bag of weather conditions today, with several districts in the Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Sagar, Rewa, Jabalpur, and Shahdol divisions receiving rain and drizzle. Other divisions remained largely dry. Temperatures across the state saw a 2-4 degree Celsius drop compared to Thursday. However, temperatures remained 2-3 degrees above normal.

The lowest temperature was recorded in Shajapur at 14.3°C, while the highest was in Khandwa at 38.1°C. Khandwa also recorded the warmest night at 23.4°C. Bhopal, Indore, and Ratlam saw temperatures around 37°C.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts similar conditions for Saturday, with possibilities of heavy rain and thunderstorms in some areas, while others may experience warmer temperatures.

Air quality varied across the state. Khajuraho recorded the best air quality (AQI 70), while Gwalior’s AQI stood at 156. Jabalpur, Bhopal, and Indore recorded AQIs of 120, 137, and 139 respectively.

The IMD has issued an orange and yellow alert for heavy rain, thunderstorms, and hail in Sagar, Damoh, Panna, and Tikamgarh districts in Bundelkhand for the next 24 hours. A mixed weather pattern is expected on March 22nd, with potential rainfall in both western and eastern Madhya Pradesh. Temperatures in major cities like Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior, Ujjain, and Jabalpur are expected to rise by 1-3 degrees above normal.
