HYDERABAD, March 20, 2025 – The Telangana government under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has filled a record-breaking 58,868 government posts in just 15 months, exceeding the one lakh mark with additional recruitments underway. This achievement surpasses previous national records for government recruitment speed.
The Home Department saw the largest number of appointments with 15,526 filled positions, followed by Education (10,209), Medical and Health (7,517), and BC Welfare (5,578). The government has also sanctioned 30,228 new posts, including 2,711 positions in Group 1, 2, and 3 categories, which are expected to be filled shortly. Further recruitment drives are planned for 14,236 teacher and helper posts in Anganwadis and 10,954 village-level officers.
Chief Minister Reddy personally handed out appointment letters to 922 individuals on Thursday, including 582 compassionate appointments for families who had lost their primary breadwinner. Reddy also announced the upgrading of 524 posts in Zilla Parishads and Mandal Parishads to Junior Assistant positions and the creation of 58 additional supernumerary Junior Assistant posts. The government cited its efforts to remove bureaucratic hurdles to expedite these appointments, particularly in compassionate appointments.
