**Vizela, Portugal** – FC Vizela midfielder Diogo Nascimento has received a call-up to the Portugal Under-21 national team. The 22-year-old, who joined Vizela from Benfica in June 2023, has been a standout performer this season.

Nascimento, who previously represented Portugal at the U18 and U20 levels, has started every match for Vizela. His impressive performances earned him two January awards: Best Midfielder and Best Player of the Month in Portugal’s Liga Portugal 2, as voted by the league’s coaches. He secured 21.53% of the total vote.
