Fri Mar 21 02:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Kings Upend Cavaliers, Snapping Three-Game Losing Streak

**SACRAMENTO, CA** – DeMar DeRozan led the Sacramento Kings to a 123-119 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers Wednesday night, handing the Cavs their third consecutive loss. Despite missing key players Domantas Sabonis (ankle) and Zach LaVine (personal), the Kings showcased impressive resilience, overcoming a slow start to secure their second straight win after a four-game slump.

DeRozan’s clutch performance, including two consecutive baskets late in the fourth quarter, proved decisive. He finished with 27 points, while Malik Monk contributed 20. Rookie Devin Carter also impressed, scoring a season-high 16 points, helping the Kings overcome a dreadful first quarter where they shot 1-for-11 from two-point range – their worst such performance in nearly two decades.

Despite Evan Mobley’s 31 points, including 22 in the final 15 minutes, and Donovan Mitchell’s 26 points, the Cavaliers couldn’t overcome the Kings’ late-game surge. Mobley’s strong second-half showing briefly tied the game, but the Kings’ late run sealed the win. The loss extends Cleveland’s longest losing streak of the season, following a previous 16-game winning streak.

The Kings face a quick turnaround, hosting the Chicago Bulls on Thursday. The Cavaliers will travel to Phoenix to face the Suns on Friday.
