**CHENNAI, March 19, 2025** – The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) in Chennai introduced a new unlimited travel monthly pass today, priced at ₹2,000. The “Travel As You Please Ticket” (TAYPT) allows commuters unlimited rides on all MTC buses, including air-conditioned services. This is an upgrade from the previous ₹1,000 TAYPT pass, which excluded AC buses. Transport Minister S.S. Sivasankar launched the pass at Mandaveli bus terminus, highlighting its accessibility for all MTC routes. MTC Managing Director T. Prabhushankar was also present at the launch.
