GAZA CITY/JERUSALEM – Israel launched a major wave of air strikes on Gaza on Tuesday, killing at least 404 Palestinians and wounding over 560, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health. The attacks, which targeted multiple areas across the Gaza Strip, mark a significant escalation in the conflict and shatter a fragile ceasefire that had been in place since January 19.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in a televised address, declared the strikes “only the beginning” of a renewed offensive against Hamas.
