**Thiruvananthapuram, March 19, 2025** – The Kerala State Council for Child Welfare announced the return of its popular Kilikoottam summer camp, offering a fun-filled and enriching experience for children aged 9 to 16. The two-month program, running from April 3rd to May 25th at the Government Model Lower Primary School, Thycaud, will focus on fostering a positive and nurturing environment for children’s growth.
This year’s camp, themed “A Love-Filled and Friendly Childhood,” will prioritize children’s mental and physical well-being. Activities will include a diverse range of subjects and skills, categorized by age group (9-10, 11-12, and 13-16). Participants can explore creative pursuits like theatre, dance, music, and painting, as well as academic subjects like science, mathematics, and coding. Practical skills such as origami, farming, and robotics will also be taught. Furthermore, the camp will incorporate yoga, meditation, physical training, health education, counseling, and even karate classes. Educational tours and interactions with professionals from various fields are also planned.
Children under the council’s protection will also participate in the camp, which will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily, with classes concluding at 12:30 p.m. The final three days will be dedicated to student presentations and exhibitions showcasing their accomplishments throughout the camp.
