Wed Mar 19 04:40:00 UTC 2025: ## Bhopal Youth Celebrate Sunita Williams’ Return to Earth

**BHOPAL, INDIA** – Members of the Seva Sankalp Yuva Sangathan celebrated the return of Indian-American astronaut Sunita Williams to Earth in Bhopal today. Williams, who spent nine months in space, was welcomed with enthusiasm by the youth group who gathered at Bhawani Chowk.

Led by organization president Prakash Malaviya, the celebration included hoisting the Indian flag and chanting patriotic slogans. Young people applied gulal (colored powder) to posters of Williams and celebrated with the traditional throwing of abir (colored powder) in the Maa Bhawani courtyard.

This is not Williams’ first space mission; she has previously carried a Bhagavad Gita, a statue of Lord Ganesha, and the Indian flag into space.

The event was attended by several members of the Seva Sankalp Yuva Sangathan, including Vivek Sahuu, Yash Jain, Nihal Sahuu, Gaurav Bansal, Subodh Jain, Vivek Shrivastav, and Sumit Malaviya.
