**Chennai, March 18, 2025** – BJP state president K. Annamalai has strongly criticized actor Vijay and his organization, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), for dismissing the BJP’s protest against alleged irregularities in the state-run liquor corporation, Tasmac, as a “drama.”
Speaking to reporters in Chennai, Mr. Annamalai accused Mr. Vijay of engaging in “work from home politics” and claimed that TVK was overstepping its boundaries. He further alleged that Mr. Vijay and TVK were orchestrating a “drama” and that the actor served as a “B-team” for the DMK.
Mr. Annamalai also alleged police misconduct against BJP cadres during the protest and vowed to intensify the party’s actions. The BJP’s protest focuses on alleged irregularities within the Tasmac liquor corporation.
