**Kyiv, Ukraine –** Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the appointment of Andrii Hnatov as the new chief of the general staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Hnatov replaces Anatoliy Barhylevych, who served since February 2024 and will now serve as the general inspector of the Defense Ministry.
