**Chennai, March 17, 2025** – A family of three, including a nine-month-old baby, suffered burns in Maduravoyal on Sunday after their electric two-wheeler caught fire while charging.
Gowtham, his wife Manju, and their daughter Ezhilarasi sustained burns while attempting to escape their home after noticing smoke emanating from the vehicle parked in their portico. The fire, which started early Sunday morning, quickly spread to a nearby motor. While the family managed to escape, they suffered burns in the process.
Neighbors rushed the injured to the Government Kilpauk Medical College Hospital. The electric two-wheeler was completely destroyed. Maduravoyal police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire.
