**Visakhapatnam, March 17, 2025** – Andhra Pradesh is experiencing a severe heatwave, with Nathavaram in Anakapalli district recording the state’s highest temperature of 42.1°C on Sunday, according to the A.P. State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA). Other areas also saw scorching temperatures, with Pedanadipalli in Vizianagaram district reaching 41.8°C and Gollavidipi in Kurnool reaching 41.4°C. APSDMA Managing Director R. Kurmanath reported severe heatwave conditions in 14 mandals and heatwave conditions in 56 mandals across the state. Authorities are urging residents to take precautions against the extreme heat.
