**New Delhi, March 17** – Slovakia is emphasizing its strong and growing relationship with India with a significant delegation attending the Raisina Dialogue, India’s premier geopolitics and geoeconomics conference. Slovak Ambassador to India, Robert Maxian, stated that the country’s participation, including its Minister of Finance and State Secretary, alongside over 30 businesspeople, underscores Slovakia’s deep interest in India’s development, particularly its “Developed India 2047” program.
Ambassador Maxian highlighted the booming bilateral trade between the two nations, exceeding €1.3 billion last year – the highest level ever recorded. He also noted the active presence of Slovak investors in India, further solidifying the economic partnership. Beyond economic ties, the Ambassador emphasized positive developments in cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
The 10th edition of the Raisina Dialogue, inaugurated today by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon as keynote speaker, will run until March 19. This year’s theme, “Kalachakra: People, Peace, Planet,” will see nearly 3,700 attendees and over 800 speakers and delegates from 130 countries discussing key global challenges across six thematic pillars. The event, co-hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Observer Research Foundation (ORF), features a diverse range of participants, including heads of state, ministers, diplomats, business leaders, and academics.
