**Ahmedabad, India:** In a thrilling final match of the inaugural International Masters League (IML) 2025, Sachin Tendulkar-led India Masters defeated Brian Lara’s West Indies Masters by 6 wickets in front of a roaring 50,000-strong crowd at the SVNS International Stadium on Sunday.

West Indies Masters, winning the toss and electing to bat first, set a 149-run target. However, India Masters chased it down with 17 balls to spare, showcasing a dominant all-round performance.

Ambati Rayudu played a stellar knock of 74 runs off 50 balls, smashing nine fours and three sixes, laying the foundation for the victory. His partnership with Sachin Tendulkar (25 runs off 18 balls, including two fours and a six) provided a blistering start of 67 runs. Though Tendulkar’s innings was cut short by Tino Best, Rayudu continued the onslaught, reaching his half-century with a boundary off Best. Gurkeerat Singh Mann (14) added further impetus before falling to Ashley Nurse. Yuvraj Singh (13*) and Stuart Binny (15*) guided India Masters to victory, Binny smashing two towering sixes in the final stages.

Earlier, West Indies Masters managed only 148/7, despite a half-century from Lendl Simmons. India’s bowlers, Vinay Kumar (3 wickets) and Shahbaz Nadeem (2 wickets), restricted the Caribbean team’s scoring. Brian Lara’s early dismissal for 6 runs proved crucial to West Indies’ struggles.

The match was a spectacle of classic cricket, featuring legendary players and a packed stadium. The victory cemented India Masters’ place as the inaugural IML champions.
