**Mumbai, March 16, 2025** – BJP leader Ashish Shelar launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Nana Patole today, following Patole’s public offer of the Chief Ministership to both Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. Shelar dismissed Patole’s offer as irrelevant, questioning his political standing and accusing him of lacking the numbers or influence to make such a claim.
Patole’s offer came amidst speculation about discontent within the ruling coalition following the 2024 assembly elections, particularly concerning Shinde’s future as Chief Minister and Pawar’s openly expressed ambition for the same position.
Shelar defended Shinde, drawing parallels between his political uprising and that of Bal Thackeray, contrasting it with what he described as Uddhav Thackeray’s pursuit of power. He insisted that Shinde needed no lessons from Patole.
Shelar also criticized Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut, accusing him of prioritizing personal power and employing unpatriotic rhetoric.
